1. What is a Valid Proof of Purchase?

For any warranty claim a valid proof of purchase is required. A valid proof of purchase is defined as one of the following:
• A dated sales receipt from an authorized Razer Dealer or Reseller. The receipt must show the product description and price.
• A dated official e-mail from an authorized on line Razer Dealer or Reseller confirming purchase and shipment of product. The conformation e-mail must show the product description and price.
• An order number from the Razerzone.com web site

Some examples of a non valid proof of purchase are:
• The UPC bar code from the box
• A picture of the actual product
• A certificate of authenticity
• Receipts from non- authorized Razer Dealers
• Receipts from any online auction sites, liquidators or clearance houses
• A receipt or order number from any vendor other than Razerzone.com
• Canceled checks
• Credit Card statements
• Simply registering your product on the Razer website without attaching a valid proof of purchase.

2. Who is authorized to sell Razer Products?

Please see http://www.razerzone.com/resellers/northamerica.php for a list of authorized Razer resellers. This link is constantly being updated with new resellers, so if you have any questions as to whether or not a dealer is an authorized reseller please contact us at the following link http://www.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit . Razer currently has no authorized resellers on E-bay or any other online auction sites.
Please note that products purchased from non authorized dealers are often used, counterfeit, re-boxed, defective or gray market goods. These units may also not be designed and packaged to work in your country and may not meet all legal and safety requirements. Thus Razer will not be able to honor warranty claims on items purchased from non authorized dealers. If you purchased product from an unauthorized dealer, all support and warranty issues should be directed to that dealer. Razer has these policies in place to protect both our valued customers and resellers.

3. What if I don't have a proof of purchase?

If you purchased directly from Razerzone.com, we may have a record of your purchase and can locate it for you. Just let us know the order number. If you do not have the order number we may be able to locate it using your name, address and e-mail address.
If you purchased from a Razer dealer or reseller, contact the dealer or reseller and see if they can provide a copy of your receipt. They will often have your purchase history on file and be able to supply a copy of the receipt for you.
If the product was purchased on line, be sure to check your old e-mails. The vendor should have sent you a confirmation page showing that the product has been shipped to you.

If the product was a gift we suggest you ask the giver to provide you with a receipt. You may also ask them if they could handle the warranty process for you if asking for the receipt is not appropriate.

4. How long is my warranty?

You are eligible for Razer support and warranty claims for the following periods of time following the purchase of your product.

6. What are the terms and conditions of the warranty and what is covered by the warranty?

Razer warrants it products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship (subject to the terms and conditions set forth below) provided that the Product is used in accordance with all safety and operational procedures and instructions recommended herein and in the proper manner in which the Product is meant to be used. This limited warranty applies only to the original end user purchaser of the unit and cannot be transferred.
This warranty will not be valid if a claim on the warranty is due to misuse, abuse, negligence, acts of God, floods, fires, earthquakes, lightning, electrical surges, exposure to any type of moisture or other external causes, accidents, unauthorized commercial use, operation of the Product outside the recommended parameters, modification of the Product, failure to follow Product instructions or improper operation, maintenance or installation. Any repairs or attempted repairs other than by Razer or someone authorized by Razer shall also invalidate this warranty. The warranty shall also be invalidated if any serial number or date stamp has been altered or removed from this Product. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damages, including but not limited to scratches, discoloration, normal wear and tear or dents that would not otherwise effect the Product’s functionality or materially impair your use of the same.

Notwithstanding, if a defect arises and a claim on the warranty is received by Razer within the applicable warranty period, Razer will (at its sole option) either (1) repair the Product or the defective parts at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, (2) exchange the Product with a Product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original Product, or (3) refund the purchase price of the Product. Such repairs, exchanges or refunds as provided herein are your exclusive remedies for the Product. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill, invoice, receipt or other similar document may be required and will serve as prima facie evidence of the purchase date and an indication of the applicable warranty period. When a product or part is exchanged or replaced, any replacement or exchanged Product or part will become your property and what was returned to Razer will become Razer’s property. Replaced or Repaired parts warranted to be free from defection for 90 days after date of repair or for the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is greater.

This warranty set forth herein replaces and/or supersedes all other warranties and your remedies for breach of warranty are expressly limited to those herein set forth. No Razer supplier, dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or alteration of the warranty or to substitute products or services, lost profits, loss of information or data, or any other special, indirect, consequential or incidental damages arising in any way out of the distribution of, sale of, resale of, use of, or inability to use any Product subject to warranty herein set forth.

You may be required to assist with the diagnosis process to verify and ascertain any issues which you may be facing with the Product. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary depending on the country where in which a claim on the warranty is lodged. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges as well as any applicable customs, duties or taxes if shipment and handling of the product is required and such charges are incurred. Razer is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. We suggest you insure your shipment and obtain a tracking number for it.

7. What is covered by the warranty?

Please see our Terms and conditions above.

8. Why does Razer require a proof of purchase?

Razer must positively identify that the product falls within the specified warranty period. We also need to verify that the product was purchased from an authorized seller of Razer products. Products purchased from non authorized dealers are often used, counterfeit, re-boxed, defective or gray market goods. These units may also not be designed and packaged to work in your country and may not meet all legal and safety requirements. Razer will not be able to honor a warranty on products not purchased from an authorized dealer or ones that are out of the warranty period. If you purchased product from an unauthorized dealer, all support and warranty issues should be directed to that dealer.

9. What are the Limitations of Liability?

Razer expressly disclaims all other warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement of third-party rights with respect to the documentation and hardware. In no event will Razer™ be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, punitive or consequential damages, or for personal injury or death whatsoever, even if Razer had been informed of the possibility of the same. In the event that some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of such warranties listed above, the above limitation or exclusion may not apply. The above limitation or exclusion do not exclude, limit or suspend or seek to exclude, limit or suspend any liability made compulsory at law. The above limitation or exclusion will also not apply in case of personal injury or death where and only to the extent that applicable laws impose such liability.
